The lesser-known Valley: complete your knowledge of the Valley of the Temples by exploring the paths and those less-travelled areas where only an expert guide can lead you. The Archaeological and Landscape Park of the Valley of the Temples consists not only of the Via Sacra (where the Temples are located) but also of the EAST and WEST slopes where they were located: The ancient city walls and fortifications, the city gates, Necropolis, Tombs from the Roman era, Sanctuaries, still active excavations, breathtaking landscapes and much more. Let us lead you along the paths of the ancient wayfarers and conclude with a 100% Sicilian PIC-NIC under the olive trees. At the end of the tour, you will have gained a full insight into how the city was built, the importance of the Temples and the context in which they were erected.
Option 1: The western side of the city is characterised by several features, most notably its huge necropolis, but there will be no shortage of surprises along the way: tombs, old farmhouses, a river, stone bridges from the early 20th century, and what nature gives us at different times of the year. (FURTHER DETAILS ON REQUEST)
Option 2: The eastern side of the city is characterised by an area with panoramic views over the Valley of the Temples, where paths lead to the discovery of Greek-Punic settlements, defensive systems, the ancient city gates, sanctuaries and tombs and excavations that are still visible.
